Group Meeting with cat in the hatParents participating in the Parents as Teachers (PAT) program can participate in our monthly PAT literacy nights, which are family activity nights with snacks, crafts, networking opportunities, and parening information. Parents who attend the group meetings will then have the opportunity to be on our waiting list to recieve personal visits once a month from one of our "super nanny/parenting consultants" PAT certified parent educators. You will recieve a visit at your home once a month where you will get free consultations on parenting topics that you choose, and developmental information and activity ideas based on the age of your child.

Our 2010 schedule for PAT group meetings are currently held at the Murray City Library (166E 5800S) from 6:30 to 7:30 PM and are focused on kindergarten readiness. Our activities for this year are planned as follows:

February 9th "Once Upon a Time" Family Love Stories

March 9th Reading Buddy

April 14th Supporting Early Writing Skills

May 12th Early Writing Skills

June: "Jump into Learning" with Ready!Set!School! at the Salt Lake City Library nearest you!

July 14th Early Reading Skills

Families with preschool age children and families in the P.A.T. program are all invited to attend – Bring the whole family!
